A change in programming for the day. Find some turkeys and then trot with them. I have three turkeys here with me and they have all agreed to go for a trot in the morning.
So the workout for Thanksgiving:
Turkey trot. . . as long as you care to go. As fast as the turkeys are capable of going. Post story to comments.
Happy Thanksgiving.
So, although there was a half-marathon aboard Shindand Air Base today, I did not run it. (I am so not ready for a half-marathon!) Being that I am a girl, I am not allowed to run--or walk for that matter--by myself aboard the base. So any miles I log are on the treadmill.
ReplyDeleteOn this Thanksgiving Day, I did a partial Greg Amundson Warmup--see the CrossFit site (exercise demos). And I ate! Some turkey, some ham, some sweet potatoes, some canned cranberry sauce (a la Sue Souders, just not as pretty), and several desserts (weird spice/nut cake, weird chocolate cheesecake and cookies n cream ice cream in honor of Gwen). So there. Decent dinner with fun new friends. Not bad, not bad at all. (Gary will understand my phrase.)
I called Gary and the girls in California and my parents and sisters in Pennsylvania. I wish I could have been there, for sure.
